These poor behaviors are not related to one particular iPad, we have it loaded on 2 Gen 1 iPads and the same issues are present.
The is absolutely no reason this publication should need the greater performance of an iPad 2 - as I said, it's your basic PDF. I love this magazine!! I used to download the hard copy every time it was released.
I have been waiting for the digital copy to come out ever since iPad 1. This is my favorite magazine by far.
The articles are great and I love the workout tips! The women featured in this magazine have inspired me to take my weight lifting seriously.
I appreciate the fact that this magazine is filled with useful and helpful information unlike the fluff articles in most health mags. Don't get me wrong I love "fluff" as much as the next girl : but not in my workout mags.
As for the glitch problems noted by others, that has not be an issue for me. I have the new iPad 3rd gen.
I have not had the least little problem with the mag or the app itself. Most of the time, I can't get past the pink screen.
I haven't been able to use it when I don't have wifi so I can't take my magazine and read. This was a huge waste of my money and I should have just downloadd the print version.

As for the IPad version, well it's simply badly executed. Makes you feel as you traveled back in time to the early dialup era.
Not only is it slow, but it gets interrupted or the app crashes in the mix. On to the reading experience, the pages are rather of average to low quality.
Despite the low resolution, there are no bells or whistles to take advantage of the iPad capabilities. It's pretty much your basic PDF.
Now what is the most annoying is that it crashes every few pages When reloading the app, it doesn't even get back to the last viewed page. You start over at the cover. Even navigating directly thru the page can cause another crash.
The last issue March, April is especially impossible to read. We haven't been able to get thru the issue yet.
